FAQ
- 1, About whether we use frozen carrot juice
- It is impossible to hygienically sell freshly squeezed, frozen juice that has not undergone treatment processing.
Juice that is listed as frozen juice have undergone treatment processing.
Our manufacturing processes for our carrot juice and frozen carrot juice are exactly the same except one is frozen.
Securing preservation space for freezing is quite difficult but the nutrition value is exactly the same, and at our plantations we have adopted a bottled carrot juice that can be kept at room temperature and be easily consumed. - 2, About our 100% carrots
- Our plantation’s carrot juice are made from carrot liquid that has been squeezed from carrots, and so the only raw ingredient used are carrots. There are many similar products, so please carefully check the raw ingredients list. There seem to also be some that express that they use 100% pure carrots. In these cases, there is the possibility that they use materials other than carrots for their raw ingredients.
- 3, About broken carrots and waste carrots
- A lot of broken and waste carrots are proof of improper cultivation. At Ushioda Plantations we are proud to have roughly a production rate over 95%, and so we don’t really have any bad carrots.
And so all carrots that are used by Ushioda Plantations are all A quality.
In this world, there are some manufacturers who insist on selling those bad types of products, there are some who even use them in their carrot juice, and certainly while you can then sell your products for cheaper, waste carrots lack nutrients and just turn into waste and definitely are not good for your body. There are reasons why cheap products become cheap. The evaluation criteria will be based on whether they are using soil to make their actual products. - 4, About the smell
- We are told by some of our customers who are particularly sensitive to smells that our juice smells like medicine. Rest assured that our juice does not contain any kinds of medicinal materials. Our products are produced by nationally certified manufacture facilities which are even stricter than regular ones.
However, the source of the smell comes from the heat when our juice is disinfected, the heat causes the dietary fiber to produce the smell that you experience. A large part of it is removed, but unfortunately our juice is quite pure and so it is particularly easy to experience the smell from it. Usually food products have additives mixed in to neutralize the smell.
With our current technology there is no way other than to mix in additives to completely get rid of the smell. The smell is unfortunate, but rest assured that the smell is due to proper disinfection and not from using any kind of additives. We would like to further our research in order to fully remove this smell in the near future.
